Gave a receipt recorded September Court, 1750, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Cumberland C o, VA, Will Book No. 1, p.26, for 20 pounds 7 shillings and 6 pence received Aug III Day MDCC L from Magdalen Guerrant, Exc. of Peter Guerrant, deceased, in full satisfaction of his deman d of right of his wife from the estate of Daniel Guerrant, deceased, and also his wife''s righ t to the estate of her two deceased children Daniel and Peter Guerrant, "being this day Settl ed and arbitrated by Thomas Turpin, John Harris and George Garrington." The receipt was witne ssed by Jos. Beingley and Jacob Trabue.
